Matt Collins is a Platform Builder specialising in platform technology strategy and implementation. Matt has 20 years’ experience in the technology industry, including roles as co-founder and CTO of a number of digital ventures and working as an interim CTO and advisor to B2B and B2C platforms. Matt’s expertise includes the effective establishment of new platforms through smart technology choices and agile approaches.
Matt has worked with online platforms across industries including e-commerce, engineering procurement, payments and art. He enjoys helping these platforms make good technology decisions and build their businesses in a way that combines technology best practices with a strong customer focus.
Matt writes about platform strategy and tactics, publishing on his personal blog and contributing to popular communities such as Quora and Medium.
Matt started his career in 1997 as an engineer at Cisco Systems, working on Cisco’s multi billion dollar router and switch product lines. He holds a BA in Mathematics and Computation from the University of Oxford and an MBA from INSEAD.
